This was one of the best ever. The early start was invigorating. We drove early with APT to the base site to watch the sun come up over one of the world's natural wonders. APT had the table set up ready for our morning coffee.
There were people from all over the world competing for the best location for their photos and home movies. Go to the website for the photo series that will go up and change regularly. Then APT took us to the Kata Tjunta (Olgas) and the Walpa Gorge. The sheer walls that flank you as you enter the gorge are surprising. The wide angled lense wasnt wide enough. The 'wind' factor was a surprise. Apart its hard to stand upright during the winter months. The presence of some small kangaroos was a treat and delighted of our overseas visitors. They ate "Aussie" pizza dressed with kangaroo, emu and crocodile that night. I stuck with beef! :)
